Over the past couple weeks all my creative energy has been focused on making things to join my DS and DIL in celebration in honor of their new son…my eighth grandchild. This morning I completed the final piece…a doll for Lily…the big sister.
It’s been years since I made a rag doll. Doll making is not like riding a bicycle. I did forget the finer points and have to relearn. My little gift to Lily reflects that, but she is no less a gift from the heart. Once again, I’m thankful tiny tots are not great critics.
Her face is fainter than I would I would have liked. Against my better judgment I used the transfer included in the pattern. In the past I embroidered the faces on the doll’s I made. If I make more I’ll do it that way again.
Meet Lily’s baby…still to be named.
She sports little, lace-trimmed pantaloons…
Until next time,
remember,
Anything that doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger.

That is absolutely adorable, my friend!!!
Thank you, Faye. I added a little baby for the doll…will post a picture with it in a few.
I hope Lily loves her to death.
