What is a tea cup exchange? The name pretty much says it all. You give a tea cup of your choice…and you receive a tea cup of another’s choice. Those interested in joining in will be given a name and address of another participant to send a pretty tea cup and saucier to.
What kind of tea cup should be exchanged? What you send is completely up to the sender. It should be something you would be pleased to receive. It can be vintage, reproduction or new. It can be fancy or simple and must be useable…in other words, not for decoration only.
Should anything else be included in the package? That is entirely up to the sender. A note or anything pertaining to tea would be totally appropriate and welcome.
Who can participate? Ladies who are regular visitors (and have left comments) on the blogs of “Tea on Tuesday” participants are eligible to take part in this exchange. My apology to anyone who is not known through one of the following blogs. Art In Red Wagons, Bitze, Artfully Ooglebloops, Christen’s Creations and of course, this blog. (Additional Tea on Tuesday blogs may be added as they become known to me.) This is to insure those who sign up will follow through on their commitment to exchange. “It is more blessed to give than to receive”, but fair is fair, too. If this exchange works out well, it will likely lead to another one at a later date…so stop lurking and leave a comment when you visit.
If you are interested in participating leave a comment on this post. All names must be in by October 15th. A name will be sent to each participant asap after the closing date. Packages should be in the mail no later than November 1st.
Please let me know how you heard about the exchange. You will be contacted by the email address you supply with further instructions.
Feel free to use the button on the sidebar with a link back to this post.
Until next time…

What a wonderful Idea, I would love to be a part of the exchange. I hope you can add me to the list, I have been a part of several swaps, you can see some things I have sent on my blog. If not thanks anyway. TTFN
Hi Judy my tea mug will be on its way today and a small something special for you too. I am sending my package by priority as it has a long journey to the other end of the country. Exciting, Lennie
Aw Lennie. How sweet is that?!! I hope this means you are back up and running with a computer. I’ve missed you just knowing your computer was down. Word was you were getting an Apple…same as a Mac, yes?…hope you like it and it serves you well for a very long time.
Exchange update…
I’ve heard from two or three ladies their exchange gifts are in route. Please let everyone know when you receive one. This is getting more and more fun with each passing day. Lennie said it well…”Exciting”.

I received a wonderful Pfaltzgraff Winterberry covered mug from Lennie just this past Tuesday. I really love it! It came with a metal tea infuser that has a molded holly leaf on the end of it’s chain. She also included two different tea sachets. One is a Mount of Olives Treasures Heaven’s Blessings which smells “heavenly”. I can’t wait to try it! The second is a Stash Creme Caramel which I tried Tuesday evening. Very nice flavor! Thank you so much for the beautiful mug and the two teas. I am sure I will be using the mug quite a bit as the cold rainy weather here in the Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest has finally arrived. We won’t be seeing the sun or warm weather for a good six months! And before I forget . . . I sent a box out to my exchange partner this afternoon via Priority Mail. Hopefully, she’ll receive it on Monday. I sure hope she likes what I picked out for her! It was so much fun putting everything together.
Hugs to all!
Lori
Thank you for the update, Lori. Your mug sounds like a winner! I have several Mount of Olives teas. Did you notice they are from Israel? I’ve enjoyed every one I’ve tried. I know you’ll enjoy yours. Stash Crème Caramel is also one of my teas. My MIL enjoys a cup just about every time she visits. I’ve stopped drinking it, because she enjoys it so much, and I do love my caffeine.
Lori, stay warm and dry, and don’t be a stranger. Enjoy your mug often, and think of Lennie when you do. Thank you for taking part in this exchange and for helping make it successful. I appreciate you.

Well Judy, my wonderful tea treasure arrived this afternoon and it was a treasure to be sure! As it turned out, Lori Northon and I had each other for the exchange and we both wanted mugs! Now isn’t that something special right there right at the start. Lori sent me a lovely mug with a delicate bouquet of flowers looking like they had just been picked. It is from the Garden Tea Collection by Jolin&Young. Inside the mug was a small jar of Austrian All Natural Honey. As if that wasn’t enough, nestled in the box was a napkin that compliments the mug with its delicate flowers, two packages of shortbread tea cookies, some wild berry herbal tea from Celestial Seasonings, a tea measuring spoon and a sugary swizzle stick (I’ve never had one of those) and to top things off a “book of tea ” which holds an assortment of 4 different teas, all bound in a little book. It is definitely a WOW package. We are going off to our lake home for the weekend and guess what? the mug and the little book of tea and the cookies are going with me, along with a good book – perfect for a weekend near the water. I sure hope I’ve remembered all the goodies in my wonderful surprise, it was quite an adventure opening the box. So much fun I’d like to suggest we do it again about the same time next year. Thank you Lori, if you are reading this and Thank you Judy for organizing the event. I will try to find time on Wednesday to assemble all my ingredients of a perfect tea and take a pic with our digital camera and email it to you Judy. I know you would enjoy a look, you’ll love it. Lennie
Yea!!! That was worth waiting for, Lennie. It sounds like a wonderful package. Lori will be pleased you love it. A picture would be wonderful. I hope y’all have a lovely time by the lake with plenty of reading and tea sipping time. (What lake?)

Yeah, Lennie! So glad to know the package arrived and you loved everything enough to take it with you to your lake home. That’s pretty high praise! By the way, I made the napkin. I thought the mug was calling out for a little something special, and a napkin was just the thing. Hugs! Lori
Hi
Can I use this photograph on a greeting card that I will be selling in a British gift Shop in Parksville, British Columbia Canada?
It is such a lovely photograph.
Thank you very much
