I can’t believe I ate the whole thing. Not really. I didn’t too much. It was what I ate. My dear husband and I went out to supper last night, because I didn’t feel at all like cooking. It had been a long time since we ate Mexican, and we tried a restaurant where we had never eaten. The food was good, but I had forgotten just how heavy Mexican food tends to be. A good tamale is a treasure to me so that’s what I ordered. When my plate arrived it held the biggest tamale I’ve ever seen…or eaten. Beans and rice came with it, and no way could I finish all the food on my plate. I ate more than I really needed, but I had to leave a good bit on my plate…four hours later I still felt stuffed…which brings me to my Tuesday tea.
Good Earth Tea for Digestion…the box states “Tea for Digestion reduces occasional indigestion, upset stomach, fullness, that ‘stuffed’ feeling.” It was formulated according to an authentic Swiss recipe developed by Father Johannes Kuenzle, a widely known and highly respected herbalist, pastor, and author. Tea for Digestion is a blend of anise seed, fennel seed, peppermint leaf, licorice root, boldo leaf, and yarrow herb.
After researching Good Earth’s web site I learned Tea for Digestion has been discontinued. That’s a shame, because it worked for me…after sipping a mug full I no longer have that “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing” feeling.

ah yes mexican food can do that! mint works well as a digestif too! happy tea day, hope you are feeling better!
It’s sad that Good Earth has discontinued this tea. I’ve had it, also, and it actually WORKS, just like you said. And I agree that Mexican food in a restaurant is often more than I can handle at one time. Happy Tea Tuesday.
The Mexican food you find in most restaurants really isn’t Mexican food at all. And the portions are so ginormous! The last time we went to Friday’s, we all agreed — even my boys who are 12 and 15 — we will never go there again. The portion sizes are just way too big. 3 people could eat from one meal. Crazy! I drink mostly green tea all day long. Ginger is supposed to be good for the stomach too. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy
I’m so glad you still had some of your digestive tea left… I don’t think I have ever eaten Mexican food but at least I am forewarned now not to get too enthusiastic about trying to finish the plate off!! Thank you for tea!!
I love good earth teas and have never seen this particular one! I’m sorry that it’s discontinued, because it would be a good one to have on hand! Much better than bicarbonate in a glass of water! Thanks for joining us for tea! Happy Tuesday! Kimmie
Oh, I hate that “over full” feeling and almost always get it when we eat out (not often lately). I wish restaurants had smaller portions and lower prices. The last time we ate Mexican I ordered a half sized appetizer with beans on the side. It was just right. I can get filled up eating nothing but chips and salsa! I am usually full before my food comes…
No tea post for me today (I am STILL under reconstruction!), but I am visting everyone else today (I NEED a break!)
That is some amazing tea! Too bad they’ve stopped making it.
Oh I had that feeling on Sunday evening and it lasted all the way through last night. Really over did it.
I sent you and email privately about the tea cup…it has a chip and I want to know how to proceed.
Maybe you can make your own version of that tea!!! I always drink mint of ginger tea for rumbly tummy!!!
late to tea again – drop by , if you get a chance!!
ooo I am a BIG tamale fan…that full feeling…not so much…shame about that nice tea being discontinued
enjoyed reading about it…always makes me scratch my head when there is a great product and then they stop making it!
Hate it when that happens!
Happy May and T Day dear Judy!
