One of my favorite things to do with “me time” is sew. This morning, in spite of all the other things I needed to be doing, I needed to unwind and do something I enjoy even more. I took the time to make some snuggly burp cloths for a friend’s new baby boy. They are made of soft, snuggly flannel and trifold diapers. The diaper adds more absorbancy for those volumous, man-child burps complete with liquid substance. They are slightly tapered to fit along the neck…nothing fancy, but sweet. Each cloth is bordered with a hand-stitched, blanket stitch to make them just a wee bit more special.
That’s all I’ve got…”me time” is over, and it’s time to get back to playing catch-up around our house. I hope your day is going well.
Until next time…
There was a never a child so lovely but his mother was glad to get him to sleep. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

They look sweet and what a clever idea to add the diaper for absorbency. I like the quote by Emerson as well, how true
When I need downtime I also sew. The dust and whatever can wait. Took me a while to get to that point. Your burp cloths are sweet.
Thank you, Bunks. Sweet babies should have sweet burp cloths instead of just a rag. I hope his mom enjoys them. Thank you for stopping by. oxo Judy
Thank you, Cathy. I’ve learned dusting, etc., will wait, too…it’s a good thing it will…and that I did, because I would be so frustrated if it weren’t so. The older I get the harder it is to get everything done. In fact, I don’t remember the last time everything was actually done at one time. Fortunately I have a sweet husband who understands. Thank you for stopping by. oxo Judy
