The day I received the wonderful box of stash-building goodies from Lisa, I also became the new owner of a crazy quilt block made by her. Between my amazement of the abundance of the crazy quilting pieces parts Lisa shared and the WordPress glitch that prevented updates, I completely forgot to share the beautiful block. Here it is…a little late but not forgotten!
I love my Lisa block and thank her for it from the bottom of my heart!
While I’m feeling “crazy” I’ll share the quiltie I made for Barbara to show her she is loved and thought of during this time of healing and refurbishment as she recovers from surgery. It is similar but not just like the quiltie I made for the Fruit of the Spirit swap at Art4Mail. Barbara headed up the swap and chose the theme…Love seemed like the perfect get well card theme. I hope she can feel the love.

In the very near future I will be reviewing a super special product…Tropical Traditions, Gold Label, Virgin Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil has been used in my kitchen for a number of years for a variety of purposes. This is a brand new to me. Over the next week or so I will be using it and reporting my thoughts back here. I’m looking forward to reviewing Tropical Traditions’ product.

Hi Judy,
Beautiful blocks. The embellishing is gorgeous.
I am switching to coconut oil. I`ve done a lot of research so I am eager to read your review. I am moving away from olive oil. Apparently what is on the label is not always what is in the bottle. I drive my husband crazy when we shop. I won`t buy corn or soy. Thanks to Monsanto they are GA, genetically altered. Everything I`ve read about good coconut oil is positive news.
Woo Hoo! They sent you the coconut oil! I can’t wait to hear if you like that brand. I’m excited for you. My favorite way to use the coconut oil is instead of butter for baking sweet potato wedges. The coconut oil makes my house smell amazing. Enjoy! Love you!
Mmm, that does smell good…I’ve used coconut oil in place of vegetable oil or fat in cornbread and had rave reviews. It’s a main ingredient in the deodorant I use…homemade. Thank you, again, for telling me about the promotional.
I love you, too.

Catherine, I am very picky about my olive oil. It has to be first cold pressed…most is not. There are some brands that can be trusted…though we pay dearly for them. I look forward to sharing my findings and fully expect them to be positive. I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve used coconut oil in.
I’m glad you like the blocks. I’m have a grand time with the crazy quilting. My embellishing class is in its final week. I’ve learned a great deal. I’m taking part in a Crazy Quilt block RR for the first time. I send my block on its way on Monday. That should be a lot of fun and a great learning experience.
