You read the title of this post correctly…Tropical Traditions has authorized me to give away a GALLON of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. Here’s how it works…
Win 1 gallon of Gold Label
Virgin Coconut Oil!
Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil.
Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by
family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You
can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut
oils on their website:
What is Virgin Coconut Oil? You can also watch the video they produced
about Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil:
Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to
read about the health benefits of coconut oil.

Until next time…
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally. . . . But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:5-6

If I won this giveaway (which I hope I do) I would use this coconut oil for all the ways that I currently use cooking oil! I am just starting to use coconut oil and since it can be pricey, this would be a huge blessing to me!
Here is a recipe for DIY Deodorant that I really want to try using coconut oil:
Soothing Classic Deodorant Recipe
3 Tbsp dried chamomile
2 Tbsp dried calendula
5 Tbsp coconut oil
3 Tbsp sunflower oil (or other oil, like avocado, sweet almond, or apricot kernel)
1/4 c. + 2 Tbsp baking soda
1/4 c. + 2 Tbsp arrowroot powder
Essential oils of your choosing (lavender and tea tree are my favorite antibacterials)
In a small, sterilized jar, add the flowers and the oils (making sure your coconut oil is liquified first). Shake well. Store in a dark place for 2-3 weeks, shaking occasionally.
After 2-3 weeks of infusion, strain the oil from the flowers (again, heating up the oil slightly if it’s in a solid-ish state). In another sterilized jar, combine the infused oil with the dry ingredients and stir well. Add your essential oils drop-by-drop, stirring constantly. Store in your bathroom. This should keep for 3-4 months.

I also make hard lotion bars which I use coconut oil for and would make more with this gallon!

I would use this is numerous ways. It is a fantastic eye make remover! And in protein shakes.
A recipe I would like to try is this:
Homemade Whipped Coconut Oil Body Butter Recipe
1 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil (optional)
a few drops of your favorite essential oils for fragrance (optional)\
1. Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl. (You do not have to melt the coconut oil first.)
2. Mix on high speed with a wire whisk for 6-7 minutes or until whipped into a light, airy consistency.
3. Spoon the whipped coconut oil body butter into a glass jar and cover tightly. Store at room temperature, or in the refrigerator if your house is so warm it melts the oil.

If I win this coconut oil I would like to try making some body scrub with it, I would feed a little each day to my dog for his dry skin, and I would add it to oatmeal. Oh, and just about a ton of other things!

I’ve been slowly making shifting away from conventional, toxic hair and skin products and I’ve read so many good things about coconut oil! If I had a gallon of it I’d use it as hair conditioner and a natural skin moisturizer. I’d also consume 2-3 tablespoons a day for its anti-fungal and digestion-enhancing properties!
I subscribe to the newsletter. I would love to try the coconut walnut fudge recipe and I currently use coconut oil, baking soda and cornstarch as a natural deodorant. I was skeptical at first, but I love how it works. I use one of the creams from TT on my face.

I would like to use it to brush my teeth with this recipe:
1c. Coconut oil
1 T. Redmonds real salt
5 drops pe ones ppermint essential oil
I subscribed.
Fruit Pizza
Crust:
1 cup raw macadamia nuts, pecans, or walnuts
1/4 cup dates, pitted
1/8 cup dried coconut
For the custard:
2 cups chopped cashews, or pine nuts soaked for at least 1/2 hour
1/2 cup lemon juice (or lime juice)
1/2 cup honey, I use raw
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Topping:
Fruit of choice
To make the crust, process the macadamia nuts and dates in the food processor. Sprinkle dried coconut onto the bottom of a removable bottom tart pan. Press crust onto the coconut. This will prevent it from sticking.
To make the custard, blend the cashews, lemon, honey, gently warmed coconut oil (do not use microwave), vanilla, sea salt (if using). Blend until smooth and adjust to taste.
Pour the mixture onto the crust. Remove air bubbles by tapping the pan on a table.
Place in the freezer until semi firm. Remove the tart from the freezer and decorate with fruit of your choice. I use strawberries, kiwi and blueberries and any other organic berry I can get my hands on.
Place back in the freezer another 10-20 minutes until firm.
Serve.
I would use it for baking
