Like it or not, I had to leave the comfort of my air-conditioned home and brave 90 + degree temperatures and pay our water bill. Since I had to go out anyway, I made the trip really worth sweating and visited my new favorite thrift store. It was a good day to thrift. Here are some of my finds…
A Pfaltzgraff Yorktown Bean Pot
A Light Blue Fiestaware Teapot…
Silk pants to cut up for crazy quilting, A tin made in England, and Vintage Soap Dish
Fondue Set for my granddaughter…a blast from the past…
My latest work in progress…
A yummy cherry scone…more about scones in another post…
My giveaway ends tomorrow…If you have not entered take a minute and check it out. It’s for an amazing gallon of premium coconut oil. You really don’t want to miss the chance to win this wonderful gift. You can find it here…A Gallon Of Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Giveaway…O Yeah!
Until next time…
Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed. But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. Psalm 102:25-27

You had a great day! Your thrift finds are really fantastic. I sure don`t miss that humidity in the midwest and east.
Hey Catherine,
I was pleased with my finds of the day. The Yorktown bean pot is from the first dish set I ever bought. I still have several pieces of it and have started rebuilding the set. Nostalgia…where would we be without it. I adore teapots…and my granddaughter told me just this past Tuesday she would like to have a fondue set. I went hoping to find linens…but left happy.
The humidity here in the deep south is terrible…the air is so heavy.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. It’s always nice to see you.

Lucky girl you. I didn’t get to go to the store once this week. Scones….hum, I may have to make some of those this weekend.
It was a good day for thrifting. The store has such good prices. If it had been just a tad sturdier, I would have even bought a chair. The thrift store is my favorite place to go for retail therapy. I stop in as a reward to myself for running errands. You really should reward yourself.
I mixed up the batch of scones and froze half of them unbaked for later. We sure don’t need a whole batch around here at one time.
Thank you for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment.
Where is the thrift store? My mom and I would probably like to go sometime!
Hey Ava,
That thrift store is on Lincoln Road between Hwy 11 and 40th Ave in the old Dollar General Store building. There are two more good ones on Broadway near the West Pine intersection. One is called Jacob’s Well and the other is the Animal Shelter thrift store. They are both in the same little shopping strip. All three have some decent stuff most of the time. They are all WAY better than the Salvation Army thrift store.
