In my last post I shared the two round robin blocks currently in my possession. I’ve worked on both and have completed my part on the Brown Study block. I’m still debating whether I should do more on the Butterflies and Dragonflies block so I will share it when I am sure I am finished. With the brown block I knew for certain I was finished when I made my final stitch. It felt right…complete…ready to fly.
Pam C. was the first stitcher on this particular block. She set the mood with a woodland theme. Every woodland needs trees so I embroidered a tree on the anchor piece of the block using lots of assorted seed beads, embellished one seam, and added a small button cluster to another, shorter seam. I feel pretty good about my contribution and hope the block owner feels the same when she sees it.
Here is Cris’ Brown Study block after my work. (for a closer view click on the picture)
Until next time…
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:2-4
