A while back Nicki Lee challenged me to exchange a block to embellish and send home. While shaking in my creative boots I accepted the challenge. This week the block I sent to Nicki Lee came home…all dressed up. When I grow up I want to stitch and embellish as beautifully as Nicki Lee does.
Check it out! It is awesome from top to bottom…from left to right.

I feel so blessed she challenged me…that I now have in my possession a piece of her beautiful work. Nicki Lee hand dyes the beautiful laces she used on my blog and makes them available to everyone through her Etsy shop. Check it out. RavioLee Dreams.
I’m still working on her block and will share it again when I am finished with it…unless I decide it is time for another sneak peek.
Until next time…
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. John 20:21

How beautiful! You must be thrilled. But I bet the block you do for her will be equally lovely
Yes indeed, Lesley. My Nicki Lee block is absolutely gorgeous…and I continue to hope mine will be pleasing to her. She is one tough act to follow. But playing with “the big dogs” is what makes us better.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I so love company!
Hugs, Judy
It is beautiful! i am getting ready to participate in my first round robin for CQ! i have never done anything like this and I am both excited and terrified! I love looking at all the pictures and getting ideas from them! Hopefully I can live up to expectations! Can’t wait to see your block when you are done!
Hello Catsmeow, Love the name!
Yes, my Nikki Lee block is beautiful! I couldn’t be more pleased with it. I understand what you are saying about your first RR. You’ll be amazed at what you will learn by actually handling and working on other people’s blocks. I’m glad you stopped by my blog and thank you for leaving a comment. I look forward to seeing your RR progress!
hugs,
Judy
That is so outstanding and I know your work will be great. You do fabulous SRE. That is something I am trying to learn as I just love it. Not doing so great so far but I will keep plugging away. What will you do with this block?
Blush Blush! Thank you Judy for your sweet words. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had making this block for you – I challenged myself as you know with that darn Bullion stitch. I’m so happy you like – it was stitched with love.
Now… excell? you? I have seen your work and you are one incredible Crazy Quilter. I look forward to owning one of your pretties too.
Beautiful block! Fabulous lace.
Hi Nicki Lee,
I’ve been shamefully negligent responding to my blog comments. Thank you for stopping by and for your always encouraging words. I love my block and have learned much just looking at it. You incorporate such wonderful ideas in your work. I’m still working on yours… slowly but surely.
I hope you are recovering well from your surgery and pain is at a minimum or non-existent. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Gentle hugs, Judy
Hey Susan,
I’m so sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your comment. I’ve been in an after-the-hurricane slump as far as blogging goes.
Nicki Lee’s work on my block is amazing, and I’m so tickled to call it mine. Thank you for your kind words about my SRE. I have soooo much to learn and try!
One of these days we should do a swap like this.
I’m so glad you stopped by! Hope your day is a great one!
Judy
