Back in June I started a block for me. It would be the first block embellished over lace and doilies. After working on it briefly I laid it aside to work on other people’s pieces. After completing Sue’s brown block I was free to stitch on my own “work in progress”. It is not finished, but I’ve made headway.

Silk Ribbon Embroidery flower grouping…
This one shows the feathered bead stitch and a seam treatment. I’m really getting hooked on beading.
Beaded chain stitch (I still need some refining of this one…), silk ribbon flowers, and more seam treatments…
Silk ribbon and bead butterfly and dragonfly…
My block is close to complete…then I must get another one started. I’m waiting on a special brown study block and one more butterflies and dragonflies round robin…but in the meantime I need something to work on.
Until next time…

Dear Judy: How beautiful your work is!! I can see why you like beading. It really adds something and gives a little glitz.
O, thank you, Pam. I’ve definitely found something I love doing. I guess everyone needs a little glitz and sparkle in their lives.
Hope you are doing well. I’m finally on the mend…hoorah! I pray it lasts.
Hugs, Judy
Judy, you never cease to amaze me with your beautiful work! Every time I look at the pictures I see something new that I didn’t notice before. I’m especially in love with that beaded feather stitch!
Hey Steph,
I love the beaded feather stitch, too! Thank you for your kind words. I can’t wait to do a swap with you!
Hugs, Judy
