For Today…July 7, 2008
Outside My Window…temperatures are heating up quickly. We’re in for another scorcher.
I am thinking…of the many things I need to do today. Mondays are always full.
I am thankful for…the energy God has given me.
From the kitchen…I can smell strong coffee.
I am wearing…a comfortable skirt and T-top.
I am creating…an afghan. It is in the very beginning stage. It will be made up of single crochet squares. Half the squares will be white and half turquoise. I’m thinking of embellishing it with fabric yo-yo’s and leaves and embroidered stems. That is subject to change.
I am going…to stay home again today. I rarely go anywhere on Monday. I enjoy the Monday solitude that rolls around after a weekend with constant companionship.
I am reading…I am still reading Ezekiel, “Changed Into His Image” by Jim Berg, and “Pretend You Don’t See Her” by Mary Higgins Clark. The Clark book is the first of hers I’ve read, and I’m not far into it, and I’m not sure how I feel about her writing style or the storyline.
I am hoping…my DH makes it through this day at work.
I am hearing…Talk radio…The Glenn Beck Show.
Around the house…There is only a little recovery work to be done this morning. Over the weekend I shampooed two out of three of our living area carpets. I’ve decluttered enough it is becoming apparent. (Woo hoo!)
One of my favorite things…is yogurt with bananas, blueberries, walnuts and wheat germ. I’m enjoying a bowl now. It’s really yummy!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I am going to make a bag for my oldest grands birthday. She’ll be 14 this year. ~ o my ~ I’ve got a baby set to make for a first time grandmother. The declutter and deep cleaning mission around the house continues…
Here is picture thought I am sharing…
Until next time…
I base most of my fashion taste on what doesn’t itch.
