From time to time I share a product worth buying. Recently I ordered a pair of earrings for a special someone for Christmas from my new blogging friend Jen. Yesterday I received the earrings. Some very special extras were included in the package. These extras were especially for me…sent to pamper me. The thought in itself was very special and extremely appreciated. In this busy world it’s so easy to skip self-pampering…something I’m very guilty of.
One of the “especially for me” items was a tea bag. It smelled wonderful, and I decided I would set aside a few minutes while I was home alone to sit quietly and sip this special brew. Early this afternoon I poured a cup of filtered water and slipped it into the microwave to heat. I removed the aromatic tea bag from its wrapper (I love individually wrapped tea bags) and dropped it into the boiling water…the directions recommend steeping the tea bag for 5 minutes or more. As I waited the inevitable happened…the phone rang. (Is it any wonder so many of us women neglect pampering ourselves?) My DH asked me to pick him up at work and take him to the clinic for blood work. My wonderful teatime plan was pushed aside, but it had to be done.
I returned home about an hour and a half later and thought of my abandoned cup of tea. My once steeping tea had cooled to room temperature, and the tea bag was still in the cup. I doubted it would still be good, but I poured it over ice and drank it anyway. It was delicious!

They’ve hit the nail on the head! And…this particular brew does not contain a speck of tea. 🙂 That’s probably why it didn’t get bitter when it was steeped for such a long time.
I thank my blogging friend. I really felt pampered while I enjoyed her special gift.

Until next time…

I’ve enjoyed many a neglected cup of this yummy “tea” 🙂 I’m so happy you liked it, it’s one of my favorites. Everything by Yogi tea is delicious!
That tea sounds wonderful!
Terri, it is delicous…truly. I hope I can find it locally. If not, I’ll order online.
The tea sounds delicious! I am definately going to order some online. Thanks so much for posting about this delectable drink!
I’ll be ordering some of this! Thanks for the post!
Blessings!
I am not typically a lover of flavored teas, but the description of this one sounds wonderful. I am glad you got to enjoy it after all!
Catherine and Octa…
It is well worth ordering. I hunted for that particular Yogi tea in the likely places in Hattiesburg today but did not find it. The third and last place I stopped I found 5 varieties of Yogi and bought 4. One was for mothers to be…that’s not my thing! Praise the Lord. I bought the “Clarity” which I am drinking now. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. It’s a wee bit strong on the sage and will take some getting use to. I found these at our Heath Food store, and they special order, so I ordered the “Tahitian Vanilla Hazelnut”. I had to buy three boxes, so it’s a good thing I like it a lot, a lot. 🙂
Tammy, In view of what you said about flavored tea, I would not recommend the “Clarity” to you, but the first one I shared is truly wonderful. I am picky about the flavors I like…and this one is not really a tea at all. It’s more an herbal infusion.
Thanks for your nice comment on my Magpie’s Nest Judy 🙂
I wish your family members all the best and hope you have no weather worries either. It’s such a shame here in VA we are shriveling up due to the lack of rain!
Yogi teas are my all time favorite. They have a very nice website too. I have a recipe for the original chai tea and it’s called “yogi tea”. The same company sells a bulk tea mix, but this recipe uses the whole spices. It’s from my yoga teacher. I will have to post it when the weather cools down some. If you’re making your own yoghurt = yummy yum, you may enjoy making a big batch of this tea as well. The house always smells wonderful. For some reason I only drink it warm, haven’t had any this summer. Take care oxo
Mmmmmmmmmm, Patty. I look forward to the posting of that recipe. I’m fully anticipating the call telling me my special order tea is in.
I’ve got a brother in Springfield…bless his heart. 😀 That’s such a congested area. The thought of living there brings pain to my comfort zone.
I hope y’all get rain relief soon. Virginia is such a beautiful state when it’s lush…
