A while back I shared a picture of the beautiful red passion flower plant that fills an arbor and meanders along our fence and high into the trees behind our dog yard. It has wowed me with multiple, brilliant red blooms since mid-summer. It will continue to bloom until a hard freeze calls its striking show to a halt.
This hearty plant has returned thicker and stronger each year since I planted it. Over the years I’ve gotten many compliments on this beauty which made me think about propigating and sharing it. This morning I cut several pieces (16, if memory serves me well) and dipped the ends of each one into a rooting compound and placed them in a make-shift rooting bed. If all goes well there will be plenty to share in the spring.
Until next time…

Such a beautiful flower and photograph. I really like it…
Thank you, Ellen. oxo
What a gorgeous photo. It looks like it should be on a calender. Have you ever taken a photography class? Your picture looks so professional.
Angie is right! It is a calendar flower!
Absolutely stunning….imagining a vine full…..well it must be breathtaking. Nature is just so awesome. You are quite the gardener rooting cuttings too!
I am just getting ready to sip a cup of fresh yogi tea from a batch I brewed this morning. I also wanted to thank you again for the Hazelnut Yogi tea, I will be treating myself to a box of that real soon!
Angie, no photography classes here. Just browse many of the photos I’ve used and you will be sure to agree. 🙂 The subject is just that beautiful.
Heather, good to see you…wondering if you got my package. ?????
Patty, the vine amazes me each year. It just gets better. I do hope the cuttings root well so I can share. I dipped them all in a rooting hormone to enhance their chances of surviving and thriving.
You are so welcome for the Hazelnut Yogi tea. A young cyber friend shared it with me for the first time…I special ordered it even though I had to buy three boxes I liked it so well. It’s about time for me to brew another batch of the recipe you shared with me. I think of your kindness each time I do…
Yes, I got the package. What a blessing you are. Thank you so much.
