For Today…Monday, November 17, 2008
Outside My Window…The sun is shining brightly attempting to warm the frigid air and melt the thin layer of frost covering open fields and withering plants.
I am thinking…about getting ready to go out into the world. I would much rather keep a fire going in the fireplace and stay in my toasty, cozy home.
From the learning room…I’ve got many books to choose from, but there is always room for one more.
I am thankful for…countless blessings.
From the kitchen…I hear water dripping through the coffee maker as it brews our second pot of hot, strong coffee.
I am wearing…my pajamas and a zip-up sweatshirt. It’s pretty chilly in my computer room.
I am creating…The bag I am making for my mom for Christmas is almost completed…Good Lord willing I’ll finish it today. In the evenings I am hand stitching a baby quilt. Soon I’ll add the binding.
I am going…to leave my comfy home in a few minutes and take my DH to the doctor for a checkup on the shoulder he injured at work two weeks ago. When we get back we’ll take our white Boxer Emma to the vet to have a drain tube removed.
I am reading…Always By My Side by Jim Nantz and my bible. This week I read Bend The Rules Sewing by Amy Karol.
I am hoping…my DH’s shoulder is healing well.
I am hearing…the hum of my computer tower and my DH moving around in the kitchen.
Around the house…things are in pretty decent shape. That’s a good thing, because when I get back home I plan to sew.
One of my favorite things…my first cup of coffee in the morning.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I’m hoping I am able to devote most of this week to creating Christmas gifts. Time is running out quickly.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…
Poor Emma…she had a close encounter with a snake. Her face had to be lanced to clean out the infection caused by the bite and a drain tube was inserted. Today she has it removed.
Until next time…
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1
