For Today…Monday, November 24, 2008
Outside My Window…the sun competes with a thick, cloud cover. The air is heavy and chilled. Rain is in the forecast. It’s a good day to crawl back in bed and pull the covers close around my neck…but that is not an option.
I am thinking…of the many preparations I still have to make before the arrival of Joshua and Brandi…and babies.
From the learning room…I continue to stretch my ability to use my serger. I’ve got 14 feet and need to learn how to use each one.
I am thankful for…the life God has given me and for salvation.
From the kitchen…I refill my coffee cup. The strong, warm liquid is especially appreciated this morning.
I am wearing…my pajamas and a light robe.
I am creating…the final step on the baby quilt I’m making. I think my next project will be a dress for Lily, but my mind is not made up.
I am going…to leave the comforts of our home and go with my DH to a doctor’s appointment shortly.
I am reading…two books plus my daily Bible reading. I’m reading Always By My Side by Jim Nantz and The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck. Both are exceptional reads, and I highly recommend them.
I am hoping…my DH gets good news when we go to the doctor.
I am hearing…our Great Dane’s resounding bark.
Around the house…it looks like I’ll never catch up. I long to be completely finished with all my housework and to sit back and relish the moment.
One of my favorite things…visits from grandchildren
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: sewing, sewing and more sewing. We will go to my parent’s house for Thanksgiving. My sister and her family are coming from Atlanta. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen them.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…
Until next time…
The most important things in your home are the people.
How precious! Hope you’re having a good day and your DH has good news from the dr. Love ya.
How sweet is that! I think you Dane loves company too. 🙂 I’m so glad you’ll be with family this Thanksgiving holiday. I’m sure it’ll be wonderful to visit with everyone.
