My blogging friend Jayedee is having a spring seed giveaway. Woo hoo…it doesn’t get any better than that. Spring fever is creeping up on me as I type. Our winter garden has kept it at bay, but I am already yearning for homegrown tomatoes and have visions of freshly dug potatoes dancing in my head. (Those are happy taters, by the way.) Jayedee described her giveaway perfectly so I’m going to use my nifty copy and paste skills and share the words straight from the “horse’s” mouth. After you read this click on LIFE IN THE LOST WORLD and leave her a comment. If her blog is new to you, I honestly believe you will enjoy the find and keep going back. Here’s what Jayedee had to say…

My California kids are still here so our house is more active than it’s been in quite a long time. They went visiting yesterday and this place was quiet as a tomb. The contrast of families in the spring season and old people in the fall season of life is stark. I know without a doubt why God gave babies to the young. I’ve enjoyed having the kids here but am faced with the reality of waning energy inadequate for keeping up with a toddler and an infant on a moment to moment basis. The cycle of life has become very real over the past few days…This picture says it all…bless my heart, I look haggard, speaking of contrasts…this picture says it all.
Our chickens have given us a total of 52 eggs since our first pullet egg. The size has begun to increase nicely in most of them now. Our hens are standing in line waiting for a nesting box. Soon we’ll have an abundance to share and sell. In all fairness to Lily (the screamer above) she has had happy moments, too…and she loves our chickens, but sitting still is not her thing.
I’ve decided Nablopomo is not for me so I won’t be taking part in it. It removes the spontaneity of blogging and adds a “stress” of a daily post. That just takes the fun out of it for me…
It’s time for me to vacate this seat and get on with my day. I wish you a happy one.
Until next time.
