This is not the most exciting blog post I’ve ever made, but I’m feeling pretty pleased with my shopping find today. For months I’ve looked for Fels-Naptha in every store I’ve shopped in likely to carry such a product. Today I found it at one of our Corner Market stores. Fels-Naptha is one of the preferred ingredients needed for making homemade laundry detergent.
I’ve been making my own for a while, but my previous batches were made with substitutions. A couple weeks ago I found Arm and Hammer Washing Soda, which is actually more difficult to find, in a neighboring town and used it in my last batch.
I love the way the homemade detergent works…it cleans great, smells fresh, and costs next to nothing to make. You can’t beat it. If the Fels-Naptha boosts its cleaning power, it will be some really amazing stuff. I just wanted to crow about it. 🙂
Chicken update…we are up to 400 eggs, and I sold 5 dozen.
Until next time…
