For Today…Monday, January 26, 2009
Outside My Window…The setting sun completed its descent, and a cloak of darkness covers as far as I can see.
I am thinking…this day has been busy and full. Simplicity has been absent…I’m thankful to be finally home and nearing a stopping point for the day.
From the learning room…I’ve begun teaching myself to knit. I’m taking it slow, knitting sample squares incorporating each new technique. Later I will combine them to make a keepsake lapghan.
I am thankful for…the visit we had with my oldest daughter and her family today. We enjoyed their company and fellowship.
From the kitchen…The aroma of stuffed green peppers spills into the surrounding rooms. It’s making me so hungry.
I am wearing…a long denim skirt and a printed 3/4 sleeve T-top…I’m home so my feet are bare.
I am creating…only the knitting samples produced by my lessons.
I am going…to stay home the rest of the evening. We were on the go much of the day. It’s time to relax in the comfort of our home.
I am reading…My Bible. I finished a book a couple nights ago but have not picked another. (I am reading I Taught Myself To Knit as I work through its lessons.)
I am hoping…the surgeon my DH sees about his shoulder agrees that surgery is necessary to stop the pain he is living with.
I am hearing…Shepherd Smith on Fox News and the whir of my computer processor.
Around the house…things are in fairly good shape considering we’ve had an extended weekend.
One of my favorite things…avocado.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I need to contact our congressman, refill water bottles, start working on a quilt-along I’ve decided to join in…
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…
Until next time…
The highest reward for a person’s toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.
