For Today…Monday, February 23, 2009
Outside My Window…The sun is finally warming up the frigid morning temperatures.
I am thinking…about my mom and dad. Dad was admitted to the hospital late yesterday. Mom is exhausted. Both are uncertain about what will come over the next several hours. It’s so difficult to come to terms with the mortality of aging parents.
From the learning room…the click of knitting needles can still be heard in the evening.
I am thankful for…my family, my place in God’s family, the patriots of this country.
From the kitchen…little is happening. Soon I will fix lunch for my DH. He’ll be home in a little while for his lunch break and have to return to work.
I am wearing…an old faithful, long skirt made of camo sweatshirt fabric, an olive green, sleeveless T with a 3/4 sleeve black T over it, long johns and socks. (I’m pretty chilly today. :))
I am creating…nothing at the moment. I finished a bonnet and matching apron this week for a bloggy friend. Sewing time has been non-existent since completing them.
I am going…back to the hospital after my DH returns to work.
I am reading…My Utmost for His Highest, Christy, and my Bible.
I am hoping…my dear dad gets to feeling better very quickly.
I am hearing…El Rushbo on talk radio.
Around the house…there is much to be done. I spent yesterday on the couch. The little I’ve done this morning doesn’t show. It’s probably in greater need of attention, because I got ready to go to the hospital pretty early.
One of my favorite things…sipping hot tea in the late afternoon.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I’ll go back and forth to the hospital as long as my dad is there. On Friday I plan to run errands and go to the P.O. to mail a couple packages. The rest of the week will hopefully be spent spontaneously…
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…
Until next time…
