For Today…Monday, March 2, 2009
Outside My Window…the sun is shining. There is a gusty breeze chilling the air. March has surely come in like a lion.
I am thinking…about my DSIL. She has fourth stage melanoma and begins ten days of chemo today. Her prognosis is bleak, but her will to live is strong. Her fight has been valiant. My heart hurts desperately for her.
From the learning room…I may get a little knitting in this evening, but I’m too tired to even think about taking on a new learning challenge today.
I am thankful for…my health.
From the kitchen…I hear the whir of the dishwasher and the aroma of the cinnamon toast I made a few minutes ago still fills the house. It was yum.
I am wearing…almost the same thing I was wearing last Monday morning. 🙂 It’s cold here again…and I may be in a rut.
I am creating…Last night I started making an apron for Angry Chicken’s new Tie One On theme. I’ve only begun to gather my pieces parts and lay it out. Maybe today I can begin stitching.
I am going…absolutely nowhere today if I can manage. Hopefully my DD will take my car payment to the bank for me.
I am reading…I’m still reading Christy. The time it is taking me is no reflection of its readability. It’s a lovely book, and I’m slowly but surely getting there. Also, I’m reading my Bible (can’t do without that) and A Is For Apron.
I am hoping…our dogs don’t wake my DH up today. He worked weekend nights and came home completely spent this morning.
I am hearing…Only the whir of the dishwasher. I’m not in the mood for talk radio this morning.
Around the house…almost everthing needs to be done. I’ve got the urge to start spring cleaning, but that’s a futile effort until we no longer need a fire to warm the house.
One of my favorite things…warm sunshine on a cold morning.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: tomorrow my DH and I will go to town to take care of business. I’ve got no concrete plans for the rest of the week. I’m not a big plan maker…
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…
Spring fever has hit hard…my new veggies and herbs had to be rescued from the cold so they are now my centerpiece.
Until next time…
