I found this pie recipe in one of my all-time favorite cookbooks Bell’s Best (Volume 1). This is the first time I’ve tried it, and it’s high time I resumed trying and sharing at least one new recipe a week. I hit a snag when my dear dad went into the hospital about three weeks or so ago. His health finally seems to be stabilizing again, and our lives are settling back into a “normal” pace. We’ve got grandkids coming tonight to spend a couple days of their spring break with us so freshly baked pies are ready and waiting for their arrival.
Dang Good Pie
Pour filling into unbaked pie shell and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees F. or until set and brown.
I doubled the recipe to make two pies. A recipe doesn’t get any easier than this…and it’s so good.
