All too often we forget how blessed we are. That’s just human nature. The minute we take our eyes off of Jesus and begin looking around us, we forget how much we have to be thankful for.
A couple months or so ago my DH and I joined a new church. It’s close enough to our home for us to really be a part of the church body. Last weekend my granddaughter Kirsten was staying with us, and she played the piano while the youth department sang during worship service. Here are a few pictures taken at that time. (I was so proud of her. She played beautifully.)
The little lady with microphone stole the “show”. She’s three years old and has a voice of an angel. She didn’t miss a word. I know her mom and dad were thrilled. They sure warmed my heart. As you can see in the slightly blurry picture below, our pastor loved their special, too.
I’m thankful Kirsten enjoys our new church well enough to play for the people when she visits. I’m thankful for our pastor and for our warm, loving church. God is so good.
Until next time…
Life is short… and it’s not about us. Eternity is long… and it’s all about God. ~ unknown ~
what a great post! I’m glad you found a church that is closer to you and that you like. It must have been wonderful! to watch & hear your granddaughter play at your church. What a nice morning (I’m assuming morning service?).
We joined a new church about a year ago. We love it there.
How exciting to have your Granddaughter play at your church. 🙂
Have a great day!
I’m sure loving our new church, Angie and Tammy. I don’t know how we managed without it. And yes, having Kirsten play was wonderful. It was an evening service with a few less in attendance than morning services have.
How exciting to have found a new church that is close to home. & even better to have found one where you can feel so at home. The babies looked so sweet up there singing and your granddaughter looks as those she’s enjoying herself at the piano. There’s nothing like a church that stirs the Holy Spirit.
