For Today…October 5, 2009
Outside My Window…a gentle rain is falling.
I am thinking…too much this morning. I’m worried about my mom and dad. His health is rapidly declining and my poor mother is so tired.
From the learning room…not much new is going on. Thankfully I’m fitting in a few things into my schedule that I enjoy doing.
I am thankful for…my dear husband. He is a man of honor and noble principle.
From the kitchen…light is filtering into the room I am in. Later today there will be an evening meal in the works, but not much is going on.
I am wearing…a soft skirt and t-top. my feet are bare…I am comfortable.
I am creating…I’m still working on wheel chair and walker caddies. Last night I started working on some lap blankets for my dad.
I am going…absolutely no where today unless something really pressing happens.
I am reading…the same books for the past month or so. I’m slowly working on Mark R Levin’s Freedom and Tyranny and The Pictureland of the Heart…I’m also reading my Bible and daily devotions. My reading time has decreased since my dear husband is able to drive himself to physical therapy.
I am hoping…my dear husband has a “good” day at work. We are thankful for his job, but it is hard on him while his body is healing.
I am hearing…Doyle Lawson gospel bluegrass.
Around the house…I’ve got plenty to keep me busy.
One of my favorite things…is cool fall weather.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Spending the day with my dear husband on Wednesday and Thursday. We have church on Wednesday night. I need to do some bill paying before the week is over. I’ll fit another visit with my parents in at some point, but I’m not sure when.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…
The legend of the Confederate rose…The flower starts out white, but because of the large amount of blood on the battlefield where it was growing the flowers to turn red or dark pink by late afternoon. (shrub from hibiscus family)
Until next time…
