This is the second project I’ve completed for the Recycled Sweater Challenge Carla of Feathered Fibers is hosting. It’s a tea cozy made from a sassy little green number with red accent binding. The lettering and border along the bottom of the cozy are made from that binding. I should have made a muslin before cutting my wool, because after it was completed the first time, I had to alter it to fit my teapot. It’s a little rough around the edges, but I feel sure it will keep my tea steamy for a good long while. Again…please disregard the date. I made this project this afternoon. I keep forgetting to set the time on my camera. Duh.
If you get the “recycling felted sweater bug” why not join in the challenge by following the link above to Carla’s blog and share what you create?
Until next time…

Wow, Judy, you are on a roll!! Adorable Tea Cosy, too! Now I want to go thrifting, but the stores are closed.
Anyway, great job!!
Absolutely great job with the felting. And, if only I could snitch it right out of the photo, it is great. I loved your mittens too but that tea cozy speaks to me!!! I passed the word along so I hope lots of gals see and your tutorial was very well done. Lennie
This is really cool! It sure beats the old dishtowel I wrap my teapot up in!
Love the Tea Cozy, and wonderful wicked Monty Python! Happy day to you, Christen
Wonderful tea cozy and fab repurposing of wool sweaters!

love love LOVE it. I’ve been a fan of the felted wool look for a couple of years now, tho I haven’t gone forth & felted anything yet. I imagine that keeps your tea warm forever.
