My dh is working nights this weekend so I’ve got some alone time to do a little crafting. The Square Deal Pincushion … made using Heather Bailey‘s pattern…is a project that’s been on my “to do” list for a while. I had no problem with the pattern or Heather’s directions, but it’s possible the corners would prove to be a challenge for a beginner sewer. Though I used Heather’s free pattern I used scraps from my stash rather than fabric from one of her beautiful lines. It still turned out sweet. The ribbon is purple…not sure why it doesn’t look it in the pic…must be the dim lighting. If you’ve never visited her site, check it out. You’ll find some good stuff and beautiful fabric and paper.
Until next time…

That is so cute!! I like your fabric choice.
Love the pin cushion. My daughter will enjoy making these I’m sure. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed your visit to my blog. As for kefir, my was milk, but I would check out Cultures for Health: http://www.culturesforhealth.com/Water-Kefir-Grains.html for water kefir grains.
The blouse I did make. It is a Build By Wendy pattern: http://www.builtbywendy.com/onlineshop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16905&category_id=296
I was lucky enough to pick it up at Joann’s when they had $1.99 patterns. I am actually making another one now. I love the blouse.
Stop back again soon. I am going to be having a giveway shortly.
Blessings, Elizabeth
