That’s where I got it. I watched it in “horror”…I really wanted to head the post “Don’t Text And Drive”, but I realize that would be a very narrow view of what happened in those clips. It only takes a split second of distraction to alter our experience. Share away!
I had to watch this on my hubby’s computers since mine is so old I can’t watch videos. Horrible, horrible accidents! Stupid drivers! I was rear-ended once while driving our Dodge 2500 diesel truck. I was in the right lane where one can turn right or go straight. The light was green for me and there was a car in front of me that was going to turn right. He was waiting for people to cross in the cross walk so our lane wasn’t going. A Saab drove up behind me at 35 miles an hour and rear-ended me. I heard the crash and BARELY felt him hit. I thought to myself, “I think that was me!” I looked in my rear view mirror and sure enough, there he was, smashed into my bumper. My bumper was barely moved and his car was totalled. It was steaming and dripping. He was FURIOUS at me, using all kinds of foul language. He wanted to know why I wasn’t going since the light was green but he didn’t let me answer. He also said, “You’ll probably sue and ruin my family.” A witness called the police. His attitude changed considerably when the officer arrived. I went home and told DSH that he would get new bumpers (that he wanted anyway). We did NOT sue. I was NOT hurt. I think we got $500.00 to repair the bumper and DSH applied it to some super duper fancy bumpers that he had been wanting.
Sounds like another example of how God uses good things to our benefit to me…the new “wish” bumpers being made possible by such an unfortunate event. Situations like that have a way of bringing out the very best in us…or the very worse. It sounds like Mr. Saab was taken over by emotions run amuck. Glad you weren’t hurt. (It takes a lot to hurt one of those big Dodge diesels…or the people in them…thank the Good Lord!) Good to see you, Brenda! ❤
