A crazy quilting friend (one whom I consider one of the best) and I are doing a one on one block swap. We are exchanging naked blocks, embellishing those blocks, and returning them. This is the first swap of this type for me, and I’m really looking forward to it, but I’m feeling a little insecure. I’ve already received the block I will embellish. Mine will go out in the mail tomorrow.

I almost feel like I am stalling getting started embellishing my friend’s block…It’s so hard to decide on what to use and how to go about it. As the work progresses I will share.
Next up are the hearts I received from the heart swap I took part in. I love the hearts I received! Purple is one of my favorite colors so the purple heart really hit my “spot”. The Betty Boop heart reminds me of a friend who was the spitting image of Betty. She passed away and went to be with the Lord nearly a decade ago. She is gone but not forgotten…

I am going to have fun with this, BUT I am so aware I am not stitching with a novice. I do believe this will be the day I begin working on your block. You should receive mine by Friday according to the lady at the Post Office.
