Eighteen years ago God blessed our family with a beautiful baby girl…our firstborn grandchild. Today she is a beautiful young woman. She has been a source of great joy. She is my granddaughter and my friend. It has been my great pleasure to spend this day with her…spoiling each other in the very best of ways.
Our beautiful birthday girl…
Breakfast at Chick-Fil-A…we brought our own Starbucks with us.
We went birthday shopping and picked up Taco Bell and brought it home for lunch. Kirsten (said birthday girl) made cupcakes that are cooling, and we will frost them in a little while with her new Wilton cake decorating tools. That was part of our gift to her. The rest of the day will be spent chilling and enjoying time together.
I surely thank God for her.
Until next time…
Children’s children are the crown of old men (and women); and the glory of children are their fathers. Proverbs 17:6
I’m so happy that you got to spend the day with Kirsten. It looks like you both are enjoying her day so much. I hope the rest of the day will be just as special. I love you both!
Not only do you have a pretty granddaughter but you both have excellent tastes…Chik-Fil-A and Starbucks. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Hey Vicky,
It has been a real treat to spend the day with Kirsten. We’ve had a good day and are chilling for a few minutes now before cooking supper. It was good to see your message…We love you, too! (and miss you!)
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.
I agree with you on all points. Breakfast was perfect, and the good folks at Chick-Fil-A didn’t mind us bringing our Starbucks in at bit.
Stop by any time…
How pretty is she!! I hope you have a lot of influence in her life & crafts!! She has a very smart & talented grandmother!! Happy Birthday Kirsten. Pam
Hey Pam,
I had to chuckle when I read your “hope”. Kirsten and I used to scrapbook together. She wanted to scrapbook and I took it up to get her started. When she got going good with it I stepped back and let her fly on her own. She kept it up for a long time, but I don’t think she does much anymore. Her time is otherwise consumed. BUT that is the only crafting I’ve managed to get her excited about. I tried sewing and crocheting without much interest. It’s just not her thing. But she is interesting and wonderful in her own right.
I’ll pass your birthday wishes on to her.
As always, thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I’ve been meaning to get an email off to you all week. I’ve just had a bit of a procrastination problem this week with things I should do because of an overload of things I have to do…I hate it when I let that happen! I hope all is well with you.
Enjoyed this post. Perfect moments!
O how I enjoyed my time with Kirsten. She is such a delightful young woman… We had a wonderful day and finished the evening off by going out to supper with my dear husband.
I’m glad you enjoyed the post.
