Hearts. We can’t live without them. Hearts are a symbol of love and affection…compassion springs forth from them.
Without a heart there is no life. I’ve thought much about the human heart here of late. Mine beats irregularly… inefficiently, without the assistance of medication. I’m thankful for that medication and the doctor who took the time to figure out what my heart was doing.
There are heartaches that cause physical pain and heartbreaks that seem never to mend. Heartthrobs make us giddy and feel alive. When we are heart-sick there is no sunshine…no joy. Cold hearts make us feel void inside. Tender hearts allow us to weep freely…without fear.
Hearts…I’ve thought much about them lately.
Today my sweet hubby checked the mail and brought me a squishy envelope from my friend Pam. Inside was a delightful heart…a token of friendship.
It’s very pretty, don’t you think? Also tucked inside the envelope was a wonderful, handmade postcard. It is the first I’ve ever received.

Back…
She even sent me a “God bless you and lots of hugs ad kisses.”. That warms my heart.
My friend Hollie’s precious dad passed away in August. I made a heart to send my sympathy and show her I care. I believe my heart spoke volumes more than words could have.
Hearts. I’ve thought much about them lately.
Until next time…
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22
Well spoken, Judy. The verse you posted has been my bedrock in some recent days that have been hard to bear. I try to find some way to smile often. It really does help me and those around me who love me. Blessings to you.
The hearts are beautiful, and the postcard is stunning!
What a beautiful, thoughtful post.
Good morning Steph,
I understand how hard it is to smile when life becomes a struggle. I pull that verse out for a self-reminder fairly often. It never fails to lift my spirit. There is no doubt smiles make living with others a more pleasant arrangement. 🙂
Keep smiling. Judy
Thank you, Brenda. It was definitely “heartfelt”.
I hope all is well with you. It’s good to see you, and I’m off to check out your blog to see if you have posted since my last visit. I’ve been very negligent in my favorite blog visits lately.
Thank you for stopping by!
Judy
