For Today…September 15, 2008
Outside My Window…we have a rainy day. The remnants of Ike have finally made it this far.
I am thinking…about pain. It’s funny how efficiently pain demands attention wtihout making a sound…
I am thankful for…my DH. He’s such a loving husband.
From the kitchen…I can see a sweet potato vine growing toward the light streaming in through the window.
I am wearing…a long, seersucker cotton dress and a light-weight, white over shirt. My feet are bare.
I am creating…I’ve got a couple afghans in the works. Last night I started a new afghan of luxurious wool yarn as part of a “Crochet Along” sponsored by Lion Brand. This is the first wool yarn I’ve worked with. I may never buy acrylic yarn again. I was instantly spoiled by the feel and behavior of the wool.
I am going…no where today unless an emergency drags me away.
I am reading…the same books I’ve been reading for at least a month. Reading time has been on the short side lately. I really need to make an effort to finish them and move on.
I am hoping…the cool front we have headed our way will make the temperature outside more pleasant. I am ready for fall.
I am hearing…Glenn Beck.
Around the house…it’s doubtful much will get done. I really need to stay off my foot and give it a chance to feel better.
One of my favorite things…zinnias
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I don’t even want to think that far ahead…
Here is the picture thought I am sharing…
Until next time…
No man can be happy without a friend, nor be sure of his friend till he is unhappy.~unknown ~
Judy, the cool front has hit north texas, and it’s oh-so-nice. The dogs are outside, calmly soaking the the cool in. I hope it gets to you soon.
How did you hurt your foot? Maybe when the front gets to you, you can go sit out on your porch, elevate your foot and work on your afghan a bit. With a dog by your side. And tea to sip. And send me a good thought, while I do the same for you.
All my best to you.
Tammy, what a sweet comment!
Yesterday I looked up your town in relation to the storm and was pleased and relieved you were bypassed.
I hurt my foot when I went outside to turn the chickens out of their coop on Saturday morning. I stepped in a hole one of the dogs dug in our back yard. It’s a strange feeling injury…and painful.
Your idea is a grand one. Regardless to whether I manage to follow through on the wonderful porch scenario kind thoughts of you are on their way.
