The United States of America woke up this morning to the day after our election of a new president. This is the morning after for which there is no morning after pill for the conservative lest it be a bitter pill. The waiting is over. The election is final. Our citizens have spoken, and the majority voice has succeeded in electing their choice to hold the highest office in the land. I will not be bitter.
Those of you who know me know I am a die-hard conservative and that I did not support president elect Obama during the campaign process. I do not agree with the outcome nor am I happy to see the once- Democratic party awarded with more power over the governing process of our country. BUT I will not be bitter.
I will continue to have love in my heart for my fellow man and support Obama as president as long as he does not go against my core values and the beliefs I hold imperative to my being. I will continue to do what I believe is the right thing to do in my daily life. And I will not bitter.
I will pray for our new president and for the present and future of our country. I will not be bitter.
I will hold to my belief that God is truly in control and that I am in His care. I will not be bitter.
When we woke up this morning, we woke up to change. None of us know what the future holds. One thing we can count on…one thing that did not change…with all her problems…we still live in the greatest land on earth…the USA. I will not be bitter.
We woke up this morning to what should be to a wake-up call (quite possibly the last one) for the true conservatives of this country. I congratulate president-elect Obama and his family, even though we do not see eye to eye. He is my God’s choice for leader of our country. I will not be bitter.
Freedom is what makes America great…Let freedom ring. I will not be bitter.
There is no pill for this morning after…lest it be a bitter pill, and I will not be bitter. God truly is in control.
Until next time…
