It feels like forever since I’ve made a real post on Apronstrings. Life has successfully hijacked me and demanded all my time. I’ve always heard shoulder surgery is really tough and painful to get over. Now I believe it’s so. My DH had one of his shoulders repaired on the second day of April and has been in misery ever since. Yesterday we went to his second post-op appointment, and the doctor gave him six more weeks of physical therapy and no work. I’ve been busy trying to keep this place going while I take care of him as he mends.
I miss blogging and visiting my favorite internet spots, but it looks like it will still be a while before life returns to that ever illusive “normal”. The ninth of this month is my first blogiversary, and I plan on celebrating with a another giveaway…to be announced at a later date. For now I bid you ado.

Until next time,
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. ~ Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States.
I know that shoulder surgery takes a long recovery time. I hope the physical therapy has good results very soon.
Take care,
Cathy
Oh my. I will pray that all goes well with the healing and that you can persevere through the added responsibilities…
sending well wishes. so sorry to hear that the the healing process has been tough going. you and your husband are in my thoughts & prayers.
Thanks for visiting today! I know you don’t have much time. It’s good that your priorities are right though…some seasons our blogging fun will take a backseat to tending to others.
No surgery is fun to recover from, but it isn’t any better to be in misery afterwards! Is your husband expected to fully recover once the misery is over?
Blogging has certainly become a hobby for me…checking in with others and letting family and internet friends know what we’re up to.
Praying for your family…
I am so sorry your husband is still suffering from his surgery.
Happy blogiversary!!! I do love your blog.
I do feel for you – but, hard as it seems right now – it does get better!! Larry was miserable when he got his rotator cuff done – as one guy told him – you will hate life for at least 6 weeks!!!!
But once he is over that, he will be glad he had it done – just do what the doctor and p/t’s tell him and exercise when they tell him to and he’ll be fine!! Then you’ll need a vacation!!! :>)
And don’t try to do things he was doing – or you’ll end up straining something – like I did!!!
happy bloggiversary for yesterday…do hope your DH gets some relief soon
