My tea post today is a repost of last week with a small addition. This morning I’m enjoying a mug of Irish Breakfast tea…strong and black. It’s a busy day and after the night I had I need a real eye-popper. Last week I introduced a Teacup Round Robin. This week I hope you will sign on and help the teacup begin its travels.
Patty’s delightful tea post March 30 featuring the Washington, D. C. cherry blossom bloom gave me a quirky idea. She had the foresight to take a beautiful cup and saucer as a Tea on Tuesday photo prop. Lennie, (no blog, wonderful Lennie) commented “What a fantastical idea, a traveling teacup! Love it!” on Patty’s post. I loved it, too. My quirky mind couldn’t help but think of the title “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” (I never saw the movie or read the book.) Delete “Pants” and insert “Teacup” and an idea was conceived. I’ve heard of Round Robin crochet hooks and Round Robin letters. Why not a round robin teacup or mug? A mug is a bit more durable and would likely be the best choice.
This Round Robin is only open to Tea on Tuesday participants…A participant is one who has posted a Tea on Tuesday post anytime in the past up until today or one who is well known to and recommended by a faithful Tea on Tuesday poster. It works like this. I will select a cup and put together a small package containing the cup and assorted tea samples, a handwritten note, and a small handmade item, and send it to the first person who gets on the list. That person would use the cup no less than once and keep it no longer than two weeks. She would then add tea if she used any from the package, add to the note, and include a small handmade item that relates to herself, and send it to the next person on the list.
When the Round Robin is complete and the cup returns to me I will host a Round Robin Giveaway. The prize will be the cup and all the handmade items added by the participants. The giveaway will be open only to those who participated in the Traveling Teacup Round Robin.
If you are interested in participating be sure to leave a comment asking for your name to be added to the list. You will need to send your mailing information to me. Click on the “Email Me” button on the sidebar to send it privately.
There is still time to enter your name for a chance to win the spring apron giveaway that ends on the 15th.
If you enjoy tea and tea posts be sure to visit Kimmie at Art In Red Wagons (home of Tea on Tuesday) for more delightful tea conversation.
Until next time…
If you are cold, tea will warm you; If you are too heated, it will cool you; If you are depressed, it will cheer you; If you are excited, it will calm you. ~ Gladstone (1865) Victorian British Prime Minister ~
Have great fun with your “Traveling Teacup” Adventure and Bon Voyage! Lennie
I LOVE the idea of your traveling tea cup and please include me, I will leave my mailing info. on your contact form. And some good Irish Breakfast tea is perfect to wake one up. Thanks for the cup of tea and the tea cup voyage!
I missed the last post – you know I want to play along with the traveling teacup! I know just the spot in the mountains where this teacup will “want” to go!!!
Drop by for tea if you get time.
You know, I would love to join your Sisterhood 🙂 if you will post up to Canada? I will email you later today. Still getting to all the tea posts 🙂
Have a lovely T day.
Hi Judy! I think I will send out an e-mail to everyone, except Pat and Nancy, who are lardy signed up. That way no one will miss a late post by me, because many people only check in on Tuesdays. I will include a direct link to this post too, so a tone interested can sign up with you. I think it’s a really fun idea … Count me in for sure!!
Don’t you just love spell check and how Pat and Nancy are “lardy signed up?” what in the heck is that supposed to mean?!! Anyhow, you get it I am sure 🙂
O thank you, Kim! I was going to try to compile an email list of the ladies who have posted a tea post and the ones who frequently participate via comments. I sure appreciate you doing it. I think the more that play the better it will be…and the lucky winner at the end of the round robin will have so much more to look forward to. oxo
I would Love to play along Judy…if at all possible toward the end of the RR as we will be out of the country and traveling til mid May…Hope that works out 🙂

I would LOVE to be a part of this, it sounds like a very special round robin.
Please count me in, I am honored to be included.
Xx,
Amy
This sounds like fun, Judy, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to pass on this, even though I’ll be missing out on some wonderful Tea Tuesday opportunities. I’m simply unable at this time to fit it into my schedule, even though I suspect it’s probably not as time consuming as I make it out to be. At this time, I also have no place to take it, except my house, which is pretty boring most of the time. But I’m glad Kimmie asked we who are faithful and I was delighted to have been asked at least.
Hi Judy, It sounds like a fun idea and normally I would like to play along, but I am moving right now, so too busy, but I am sure it will be great fun, enjoy!
I think this sounds like great fun! Sign me up too! I’ll email you my address.
This sounds like a lot of fun! I’m in!!
